Pepe graduated among the first ten of the class. A soft spoken kind of a guy who just did his job well. Thus with his outstanding records, it was no surprise when he was appointed the Commanding General of the PAF besting many contenders. Pepe lost his fight against lung cancer not long after his retirement.
