Manuel is nicknamed    "Cane" after that famous French General in our Military Arts. Graduating   No. 4 in our class he proved to be more than "Cane". He saw actions as an   FA Battery Cmdr. in Vietnam, as a BN Cmdr in Mindanao, as the CG Southern   Command, and of course as Commanding General of the Phil. Army. Gen. Patton, who believed   in reincarnation claimed he had fought in so many fields of battles in Europe long before WWII. Cane's is different. It was in  the battlefields of   Mindanao where the seed of multi-dimensionalism started to germinate deep   in his consciousness. He started sensing the "3rd Eye". He claimed to experience   ESP. In his Bn Opns, there were instances he foiled enemy ambuscades because  he sensed ahead the impending dangers. He intriguingly felt an invisible shield  around him. Incidentally many soldiers wore "Anting-Anting" in combat, they  believed were effective under strict conditions. Believe it or not. Wife Liza remains to be convinced.
